More Christmas Day Fun

During the running and wrestling Deva slipped out of her coat. Thanks to all the high energy activity she didn't get cold.

Due to cold weather, short days and work schedule there hasn't been much time to play but we finally got out to The Hill on the weekend.

Before the Deep Freeze

Before last weekend's snowstorms and the temperature plummeted to -24c (-11f) the clan had a great time on The Hill.

While the snow storm created havoc on the roads, the whippets loved running and playing in the white stuff.

Deva's nearly fully recovered from the bout with meningitis and has regained almost all her speed and agility.

It's chilly enough for the whippets to want their undershirts, but not cold enough to bring out the winter gear.

There's a mouse down there somewhere!

Thanks to The Pod's built-in fur coat, she doesn't need an undershirt.

It's always warm inside, especially when sharing body heat.

An Autumn Day on The Hill

Since she got sick Deva hasn't felt like chasing and rough-housing with Bailey, but she's running more often and getting her energy back.

The fruit of the elaeagnus commutata a.k.a. silverberry shrub is a favourite snack.

Continuing Recovery

Deva continues to improve, soon she will be able to play on The Hill again

Bailey and The Pod ran through the early season snowfall while Deva was being treated in the pet hospital

Our Puppy's Back

After a serious and potentially fatal bout with meningitis, Deva is now back home and well on the road to recovery. We are grateful to the skilled and caring staff at the Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Centre for their quick diagnosis and effective treatment.
