Good to be Home

Over 6 months ago the neighbour started his house on fire (careless smoking) and severely damaged our house as well.  We had to leave while extensive repairs were made, and we're finally home again.  Here Bailey and Deva enjoy their cave bed on our new acacia hardwood floor.

A new people bed got delivered, and within 30 seconds the whippets staked their claim.

Ditto the new couch.

Bailey's favourite red chair came back cleaned.

Waiting for the new deck to be built.
Meanwhile there's fun to be had on The Hill.

A sure sign of spring, the prairie crocus.

There was a lot of snow this winter, the pond on The Hill is nice and big.
Happy to be home.

Changing Seasons

A late winter warm spell has the whippets out playing without their jackets.  A sure sign of spring....?

Then spring arrives, bringing freezing temperatures.

But they're still happy to be out running and playing.
Though when told it's time to go home, they race back to the warm car.

A 20 Degree Difference

One day it's -15c out...

...and the next day it's above freezing!  We hope it only gets warmer from here, we're tired of winter.

Nothing changes at home though.

Brownian Motion Resumes

It's finally warmed up enough to get out to The Hill!

They make the most of it to stretch their legs and blow out the cobwebs.

The next day it's warm enough for the light jackets.

Bailey's looking good for 9-1/2 years old.

We Come From The Land Of The Ice And Snow

Deva demonstrates whippet reflexes in this series of photos 1/5 second apart.

Keep your eye on that piece of grass in front of her.

Her eyes close to protect from the tall grass.

"Meh, that was easy."
