Flying with Jet on Canada Day

Bailey and Deva enjoy a beautiful Canada Day on The Hill.

Life is grand when they can hound their friend Jet.

Jet enjoys some solo flying when the skinny ones leave him alone.

Tog of War!

The winner!

A sure sign of a good day on The Hill.

Summertime....and the living is easy

The whippets enjoy a summer day on The Hill.

Deva burns off some energy......

...and entices Bailey into chasing her.

Being middle aged (he'll be 8 in Oct.) Bailey prefers to conserve his energy but shows that he can still catch Deva if he's motivated.

As an added bonus, they meet up with their good friend Jet.

Bailey demonstrates how different tail positions help him keep balanced when running at speed.

Not having a long tail, Jet demonstrates how his ear positions help him to balance.

Storing energy for next time.

Note: any resemblance to people furniture is entirely coincidental.

Guest Appearance by Jet

The whippets' good friend Jet is featured in this post.  He's young and good natured, and puts up with the skinny hounds' antics.

"Ack!  Must get away!!"

"Can't lose the little buggers."

A disadvantage of having large flappy ears.

Playing with Jet always tires them out.

Lounging Around

The whippets take over the lounge chair.

Deva trims the overgrown cherry tree.

 The Clint Eastwood stare.

Deva's too laid back to finish eating the grass.

Catching the last of the sunshine.

Is synchronized laying-about an Olympic sport?

Another sunny day, another chance to lounge.

What better place to play with the new toy than on the people bed.

Bailey likes his new toy too.

Weimaraner Sandwich

Bailey and Deva run into their friend Jet and proceed to make a weimaraner sandwich, crowding him from both sides to try get him to run faster.

Once Jet leaves Deva lets loose with youthful enthusiasm and speed.

Bailey prefers to take it easy and conserve energy for lying on the couch at home.

We're Back

Our Dad went to Nepal and all we got was this lousy t-shirt....and it doesn't even have a whippet on it.

But then we got lots of treats, and got to run and play on The Hill so life is good.
