Alas summer will end but in the meantime Bailey & Deva are going to make the most of it.

It's officially summer and it finally stopped raining. Bailey and Deva celebrate the solstice by posing and playing on The Hill.

They're back! The flickers that raised a family last year in our back yard have returned.

Winkin' Whippets

They look like they're winking as they run full speed through the brush, but it's a hard-wired response to protect their eyes.

Wide open spaces = wide open eyes

Eyes closed as they rest and hang out with The Pod, who at almost 14 years of age prefers walks around the block and lying in her bed.
