A Bit Warmer

It finally warmed up a bit so jackets aren't needed.  Bailey is preoccupied with investigating something while Deva puts in a good run .

Back home they're both into relaxation mode.

The whippets defy the minus double-digit wind chills.

The cold doesn't stop Deva from jumping in and getting a faceful of snow.

(Still) Waiting for Spring

Bleah, more snow and storms forecast all weekend.

"You mean we have to go for this walk?"

Since it's 29 degrees C in Perth Australia, Deva does a kangaroo imitation to invoke warmer weather.

"OK, it's time to go back home now."

Cozy and warm at last.

Calgary Spring Weather

Spring be can cold and dark.

But not enough to dampen Deva's enthusiasm.

There's always a warmer day to come.

It's always warm and cozy on the couch.

Spring in Calgary

Spring in this part of the world can be quite variable.  Today the whippets and their good buddy Jett enjoy the +19c temperature.

Time for a break, must cool off.

The next day it's almost freezing.

However that doesn't stop the chase game.

The whippets can be equally bothersome with or without their jackets.

Moving the Mountain

The whippets meet a new friend named Briggs, a very well behaved 2 year old Leonberger.

Seen from Bailey's perspective, at 135 lbs Briggs is way out of his weight class.

Once they're sure that he won't eat them,
Bailey and Deva entice Briggs into a chase game.

Game on!

Bailey's up to his usual trick of trying to get his playmate to run faster.

Drink break.

Briggs does his bear imitation.

Back to the chase game.

"C'mon big guy, can you go faster?"

It was a lot of work moving the mountain.
