Every Day is Special

The whippets don't need to do anything to bring in the new year, every day is special for them. They get to run and play...

...demand treats...

...look winsome...

...wait patiently for the slower members of the clan...

...run off to explore...

...take over the people bed...

...and roach out on the couch.

Whippets in Winter

It warmed up enough to run naked in the snow. The black spots in the sky isn't camera sensor dust, it's "exhaust dirt" from Deva's run.

Back home resting and keeping warm on the couch.

The Cave Bed arrived! Bailey wastes no time trying it out.

Deva figures it out minutes later.

The XL size easily accommodates 2 whippets and is now their favourite place inside.

Before the Snow and Cold

Bailey and Deva have fun on The Hill before the snow and sub-zero temperatures arrive.

And the whippet that is born on the Sabbath day

Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

Goodbye Sweet Girl

Pahdmi (aka The Pod) left us this morning. Thank you sweet girl, for 14 years of spunk, love, and keeping the whippets in line. We miss you terribly but are consoled by knowing that you are now with Catherine, and can run free.

Bailey and Deva start off calmly enjoying the walk.

Being whippets of course means that sooner rather than later, there will be lots of running.

And naturally, where there is running, there will be a chase game.

Deva:"I'm not talking to you."

They make good use of the lounger to rest up.

Eventually the lounge act moves inside.
