The Chase

A couple of the faster dogs in the pack give chase


OK he's got them hooked, now for a burst of speed.......


And suddenly he's got all sorts of room!

Meeting up with a pack of 7 dogs was a bit daunting at first but once the introductions were made, it was time to play. Bailey would slow down enough to encourage the others, then with a burst of speed or a quick turn, he'd squirt ahead just to repeat the same game.

A New Friend

After earlier lamenting on the lack of whippets in our playground, we met one - she lives 2 blocks away! Here's to Bailey's new friend Skye. And it turns out her sire is a litter mate of Breezer's!

Chasing Down the Varmint

This feisty jack russell terrier was happy to run and play even though he wasn't in the same speed range.

They were friendlies but it was like sending biplanes after a jet.

The timid tree-whippet watches from behind his hiding spot - would be a lot more effective if there were leaves on the tree though.

Breezer & Masque knew that when I'm in the bathroom putting my contacts in, there's a good change I'm taking them for a run.

Fun with Kong

Thanks to the crappy rainy weather, Bailey's been resting indoors and digging treats out of the kong. It's lasted longer than expected, the photo shows it's state about 2 hrs after arrival and 2 weeks later there's only a few more similar chunks taken out of it.
